Greetings!
My name is Hanne Andersen
(pronounced
Hanna), - Editor of Single Lives Ezine.
Allow me to introduce myself.
I grew up in the Province
of Ontario,
Canada and moved 'West' when I was
finished high school at the age of 18, in
'80 (you can do the math *S*). By West,
I mean the Province of Beautiful British
Columbia.
I've lived several places in BC, and am
now somewhat settled in Victoria, which
is on Vancouver Island ... the Southern
most tip.
Well, so much for being
settled in Victoria!
I moved to Lake Cowichan in Sept./2004
which is still on Vancouver Island ... but
sure miss the ocean :( But we have a huge
Lake, so I'll have to check out the fishing
sometime soon see what the trout and bass
are like ;-)
I loved being so close to
the ocean, as I
find walking the beaches one of my favorite past-times. Relaxing,
yet at the same time inspiring, which I find a great place to
gather my thoughts for writing my Poetry. I'll have to get
use to walking the Cowichan Lake, see if IT still inspires me as
much as the ocean did.
I have been writing Poetry
since I was
about 10 yrs old, as well as keeping journals
... those secret diaries most of us write as a
child (smile). And something that we should
continue with into adulthood.
Writing in a journal is a
great way to collect your thoughts, write them out rather than
having them run around in circles in your mind!
When I first came on-line,
about 7yrs ago,
I recall someone suggesting I put my
poems on-line as a web site. Nervous
as can be about having my thoughts on
the web I started searching and surfing.
It was then, I discovered the enormous
amount of information that was available.
And I discovered 'Zines!
In the past 4yrs, I've had
the urge to write
and publish my own newsletter/ezine.
With my passion for writing, my previous employment as a Poverty
Law Advocate
and my knowledge within the natural health
field, I knew that I could somehow combine
these into an informative newsletter/ezine.
Since having to take
'medical leave' which has turned into long-term disability (due to
complications with Multiple Sclerosis) from my J.O.B., which
really wasn't work at all!
I enjoyed it, and was passionate about it, I
felt that I needed to find an outlet for my
knowledge and skills. Thus, the desire for
wanting to be a Publisher.
I'm now a Proud Member of The AdMistress Circular Marketing
Ezines! I received the Publisher of the Month Award for
August/03,
which was a great honour, with my other
ezine titled Swanszine.
I also now have
" 2 " Mini-Ezines titled:
Bazooka
Dollars and Sense
ALL are great, quick-read ezines. As
well, I am Director of Quality Control for
the Circular Marketing Ezines and an
Instructor for NewVision Bootcamp - a
great course that I myself took to start
Swanszine! Most recently I've also
started as Orientation/Mentor Director
of New Ezines. AdMistress is an awesome
Circle to be a member of ... :-)
My newest ezine started on
February 4th
of 2005 which I'm really looking forward
to - Single Lives Ezine. Life Style Changes
for Single People who are going the Solo Route to happiness, while
living alone.
Visit HERE
if you're single...for any reason.
I've raised my son Jay, who
is now 22,
by myself. Talk about challenging, but I
wouldn't change a minute of it! He is the
"Sunshine of my Life", and I'm very proud
of the man he has become. Wasn't always
easy, then again who ever said life was
easy?!
I became single one week
before his first birthday and have remained so by choice.
I just felt it would be too difficult to bring
in another 'family'. If I had of met someone
by the time I was 30, maybe ... I didn't ...
so here we are.
Given his age, that he is
now pretty self-
sufficient, it's now time for myself, to do
what I would enjoy ... write! Yes, it is
time for 'Mom' now (smile).
I'm finding more and more
that people
are turning to natural health remedies
and alternatives, choosing to deal with
the causes of illness thereby gaining and
staying healthy rather than just treating
symptoms. I like to pass on my knowledge
in this field through Single Lives, and gain
some as well from my Readers and my
research.
As for hobbies, I did
mention that I love writing poetry; I enjoy gardening; walking
along the ocean; sunsets and sunrises;
and all life!
Oh, and I can't forget to
mention my ever sleepy pal, my Pug! (smile) What a great
companion... but man does he snore!! LOL
I'll have to get some of his pics scanned
and put up on Swans Pond ... and they
really are 'the dog with a thousand
expressions'!! Keeps me smiling *S*
I'm looking forward to the
many new
adventures that lay before me as an
Ezine Publisher. I do hope to be meeting
and learning from as many people online
as possible, and wish everyone the best
of success in all that they do!!
May Your Life Be Filled
with
Peace and Serenity.
Peace, Love and Light to All
